The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, has announced a new salary increment for state workers. The Governor declared an additional N10,000 increase to the monthly salaries of all Ebonyi State workers during the 2024 Workers' Day celebrations at Pa Oruta Ngele Stadium in Abakaliki, the state capital.

This latest increment comes just a few months after the governor's initial salary increase in July 2023, where he added N10,000 to the salaries of state workers, only one month into his administration. The latest addition makes for a total increase of N20,000 within less than a year under Governor Nwifuru's leadership.

Governor Nwifuru reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of state workers during his speech at the Workers' Day event.
