Enugu State University of Medical and Applied Sciences Receives Praise from State Commissioner

In a recent commendation, the Enugu State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ndubueze Mbah, lauded the achievements of the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Igbo-Eno, Enugu State, during the institution's inaugural Open Day event held on January 21, 2024.
Professor Mbah emphasized the university's excellence in medical and applied sciences, attributing its success to high-quality infrastructures, state-of-the-art equipment, well-equipped laboratories, modern hostels, a comprehensive medical center, a well-stocked library, and a proficient management team. These factors, he asserted, position SUMAS among the premier medical and applied sciences universities in the country.

Expressing satisfaction with the institution's facilities, the Commissioner assured the university's management of the continuous support from the state government. He highlighted the government's commitment to providing necessary educational interventions to maintain and enhance the existing standards at SUMAS.
"I’m glad about the modern state-of-the-art equipment in the laboratories, classrooms, hostels, library, and medical centre of SUMAS courtesy of the Enugu State government," remarked Prof. Mbah, further solidifying the state's dedication to fostering excellence in education and healthcare services.

The Commissioner, represented by Mrs. Juliana Ugwu, Education Supervisor in Enugu North Senatorial District, urged prospective students, parents, and guardians to take advantage of the Open Day to explore the university's state-of-the-art facilities. This includes modern edifices, cutting-edge teaching and learning equipment in various faculties, departments, laboratories, and the medical center.
