In a touching tribute to the late Dr. Essien Ewa, a prominent figure in Yakurr and brother of Cross River State’s Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Oden Ewa, Federal College of Education (FCE) Okene took center stage in the weekend’s memorial service.

Prof. Elder. Obol. John Ofem Inyang, a former Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development and a distinguished member of the Governing Council of FCE Okene, led a notable delegation of dignitaries, including Senators Eteng Jonah Williams and Asuquo Ekpenyong, and Hon. Cyril James Omini. The service, held at the ancestral home of the Ewa family in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area, also saw the attendance of prominent scholars and community leaders such as Prof. Godwin Ettah and Prof. Godwin Igile.
