Federal Polytechnic Bauchi to Introduce Degree Programs in Mass Communication and More

The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi is set to offer degree programs in management and social sciences, including Mass Communication, Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, and Finance. This development follows a visit by a team from the University of Maiduguri, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Liman Tukur, to assess the polytechnic's readiness for affiliation and resource verification.

Prof. Sa’idu Baba, Vice Chancellor, Academic Services of the University of Maiduguri, praised the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi for possessing the necessary structures, workshops, and manpower required to run degree programs. He expressed confidence that the National Universities Commission (NUC) would approve the polytechnic's request to run these programs.

In response, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Alh. Sani Usman, appreciated the University of Maiduguri for partnering with the institution. He assured that the polytechnic would address any observations and meet the requirements of the NUC.
