In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Armaya’u Bichi discussed the university's ongoing security challenges, which have necessitated the relocation of activities to a smaller, temporary campus. “Due to the prevailing security situation in and around Dutsin-Ma, we have had to vacate the main campus, crowding our activities within the take-off campus, which lacks adequate structures and facilities to accommodate our 14 faculties,” he explained.

Chancellor of FUDMA, King Jaja of Opobo, Dandeson Douglas, commended the university's efforts to enhance its internally generated revenue (IGR) through various initiatives, including consultancy services and educational institutions. He urged the government to address the security issues impacting the main campus and encouraged graduates to embody the values of resilience, hard work, and integrity.
Representing President Bola Tinubu, Prof. Abdulkarim Mohammed, Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Dutse, reiterated the administration's commitment to tackling insecurity. He emphasized the need for collective responsibility among citizens to enhance security and encouraged graduates to explore government youth empowerment initiatives for self-employment.
FUDMA conferred honorary degrees upon prominent individuals, including First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, Senator Alu Magatakarda Wamakko, and Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, in recognition of their contributions to Nigerian society.
