The Directorate of Research and Creative Thoughts at Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) organized a one-day training session for deans and directors on research impact, visibility, and grantsmanship.

The event, held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Information Management System building, aimed to enhance staff understanding of research and improve their chances of securing collaborative research grants.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Aleruchi Chuku, emphasized the importance of research grants in measuring academic success. He urged participants to take the training seriously and encouraged the director of the Centre for Research and Creative Thoughts to submit a grant proposal on behalf of the University.

Resource persons from Baze University, University of Sharjah, and University College Dublin led discussions on accessing research grants, avoiding plagiarism, and publishing in high-impact journals. The event was attended by top university officials, including deputy vice-chancellors, deans, and directors.
