FULafia Lecturer Professor Jibrin Urges Government to Initiate Good Policies for Nigeria's Development

Professor Abdullahi Dan'Asabe Jibrin, a renowned political economist and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), has called on governments to implement policies that promote economic development, social justice, and political stability in Nigeria.

Delivering his inaugural lecture, titled "State, Power Struggle and Paradox of Development in Nigeria," Jibrin emphasized the need for people-centered policies and programmes that accelerate economic development and reduce poverty and insecurity.

He attributed Nigeria's development challenges to the lack of commitment from government officials and recommended measures to reduce the attraction of power, increase accountability, and enforce anti-corruption laws.

The lecture was attended by dignitaries, including traditional rulers, academics, and government officials.
