The Directorate of Research, Innovations & Partnerships (DRIP) has conducted a successful one-day workshop for academic staff at the University, focusing on crafting winning proposals for the Tertiary Education Fund (TETFUND) and National Research Fund (NRF) grants. The event, held at the Centre of Excellence in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE) Board Room, was themed "Procedure for Preparing Winning TETFUND and NRF Proposals."

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, emphasized the workshop's importance and encouraged participants to fully engage to achieve its objectives. He praised DRIP's leadership for organizing the initiative and highlighted the significance of writing effective grant proposals.
In his introductory remarks, DRIP Director Prof. Mutiu Busari outlined the workshop's goal to equip academics with essential skills for securing TETFUND and NRF grants. He urged attendees to apply the insights gained to develop successful proposal concepts.
The workshop featured esteemed resource persons, including former Landmark University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Adeniyi Olayanju, University Research Ethics Committee Chairman Prof. Isaac Aiyelagbe, Ranking Advisory Committee Chairman Prof. Olusegun Folorunsho, and Mrs. Margret Omisope. The event also saw participation from former Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ololade Enikuomehin and other prominent university scholars.
This workshop represents a significant step towards fostering research excellence and securing innovative grants within FUNAAB.
