Havilla University’s Nursing Science Department, in collaboration with Corps members and the Dean of Student Affairs, Mrs. Ita Essien, organized a special program at Government Secondary School (GOVISCO), Ikom, to celebrate World Egg Day and World Mental Health Day.

The event aimed to educate students on the vital connection between nutrition and mental well-being.

This year’s World Egg Day theme, "The Mighty Egg: Packed with Natural Nutrition," highlighted the essential nutrients in eggs and their role in supporting overall health. Senior Nursing Science students, Uche Victoria and Rindi, led sessions emphasizing the benefits of eggs in a balanced diet and the importance of prioritizing emotional and mental health.

Mrs. Ita Essien underscored the significance of World Mental Health Day, encouraging students to take proactive steps to maintain mental wellness and foster supportive communities.

The celebration featured a fun activity where students enjoyed eggs provided by Havilla University while participating in an egg-themed song, fostering engagement and camaraderie.
