According to the commission, the accreditation exercise was conducted in line with Section 10(1) of the Education (National Minimum Standards and Establishment of Institutions) Act, CAP E3, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2024, which empowers the NUC to establish minimum academic standards and accredit programmes offered in Nigerian universities.

Meanwhile, the university’s History and International Relations programme received interim accreditation.

Reacting to the development, Professor Sulaiman expressed appreciation to the NUC for the positive outcome and assured that the institution would continue to uphold quality academic standards in line with the commission’s requirements.
