Kebbi State University of Science and Technology Appoints Professor B.G. Danshehu As New Vice Chancellor

Kebbi State University of Science and Technology (KSUSTA) has welcomed Professor B.G. Danshehu as its new substantive Vice Chancellor, effective September 4, 2024.

The appointment was approved by the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasiru Idris Kauran Gwandu.

Professor B.G. Danshehu is a distinguished scholar, seasoned engineer, mentor, and role model with over 32 years of experience. He has been a professor for over 17 years. His academic achievements include:

- Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) and Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering and Energy Studies from Bayero University Kano

- PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi

- Coordinating Director, Engineering Infrastructure at the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI)

- Director/CEO, Sokoto Energy Research Centre (SERC)

- Teaching staff, Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto

- Pioneer Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering, UDUS

- Pioneer Dean, Faculty of Engineering, KSUSTA

- Over 15 local and international awards

- Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE)

- Fellow and life member of Solar Energy Society of Nigeria

- Fellow, Renewable and Alternative Energy Society of Nigeria

- COREN Registered Engineer
