The Management of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN) paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba S. Ahmad, on Friday, 8th August, 2025.

Leading the delegation, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council, Professor Kabiru Isyaku, expressed profound appreciation for the warm reception accorded to the team by the Minister. In his remarks, he commended her dedication to educational development and reaffirmed the university’s readiness to collaborate in advancing the sector.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, also expressed delight over the opportunity to meet with the Minister and congratulated her on her appointment, describing it as a great opportunity to serve the people of Nigeria. He further assured the Honourable Minister of the university’s full support and encouragement in the discharge of her duties.

During discussions, the Minister highlighted the importance of collaborative ventures in education, sharing how the guidance and support she received particularly from Professor Garba during her academic journey at Bayero University, Kano shaped her professional growth. She emphasized that mentorship plays a vital role in nurturing future leaders in the educational sector.
