KHAIRUN Matriculates New Students, Highlights Discipline, Security, and Academic Excellence

In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abdulrashid Garba congratulated the students for earning admission, describing it as a reward for merit and hard work. He urged the students to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to academic excellence throughout their time at the university.
Prof. Garba emphasized that KHAIRUN maintains the standards and rigor of federal universities, with admissions and academic progression strictly merit-based. He assured parents and students of full compliance with NUC regulations, including the approved Academic Brief and the implementation of the Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS).
Highlighting campus security, the Vice-Chancellor stated that the university operates a 24-hour security system, supported by trained personnel and collaboration with public security agencies, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
On academic development, Prof. Garba noted that the university’s curriculum strongly emphasizes entrepreneurship, moral and Qur’anic values, and internationalization, preparing graduates to be disciplined, self-reliant, and globally competitive. He also outlined investments in ICT infrastructure and learning facilities, including smart classrooms, a functional university website, multiple internet access points, and an upgraded e-library to support teaching, learning, and research.

Concluding his speech, the Vice-Chancellor urged the matriculating students to be worthy ambassadors of KHAIRUN and uphold the university’s core values of discipline, integrity, and academic excellence.
