Lagos State University (LASU) and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) have set machinery into motion to explore ways to collaborate in the area of adding value, for students and staff.

As the year 2025 continues to take shape, the Lagos State University (LASU) and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) have set machinery into motion to explore ways to collaborate in the area of adding value, for students and staff of the high flying citadel of repute.

This was the fallout of a courtesy visit by ICSAN to the Vice-Chancellor, LASU, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, on Monday, 13th January 2025 at her office on the 6th Floor, Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, main campus, Ojo, Lagos.

He was excited with the ranking of the university and explained that the students of the institution stand to gain more with the certificate of ICSAN as they would become  chartered secretaries as well as administrators, once they do well in the ICSAN training and  examination.

He thanked Professor Olatunji-Bello for creating time out of her tight schedule to receive the team.

In her response, the LASU Numero Uno assured that the two bodies would work together once the LASU Consult Board goes through the details of the proposal. She applauded ICSAN for choosing to collaborate with the university.

Facilitator of the courtesy visit, Director, Centre for General Nigerian Studies (CGNS), Professor Mubashiru Muhammed, who led the visitors to the meeting, thanked the Vice-Chancellor for the honour and believed the collaboration would be beneficial to both parties.

The courtesy visit had in attendance the Director, ICT, LASU, Professor Toyin Enikuomehin, Director, LASU Consult, Professor Ibrahim Bakare, Director, Special Interventions, Professor Oseni Afisi, the Deputy Registrar (Vice-Chancellor's Office), Dr Lateef Shekoni, Deputy Registrar, LASU Consult, Mr Waheed Majekodunmi and Senior Executive Officer, CGNS, LASU, Mr Akeem Ogunlabi

On the side of ICSAN, the Assistant Registrar (Academics), Mrs Florence Oyediji, and Manager (Education), Mr Yinka Oguntoyinbo were also on ICSAN team during the courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor.
