Mathematics No Longer Compulsory for Arts Students — Federal Ministry of Education

In a major policy shift, the Federal Ministry of Education has announced that Mathematics is no longer a compulsory requirement for Arts and Humanities students seeking admission into universities and polytechnics across Nigeria.

The decision follows the review of the National Guidelines for Entry Requirements into Tertiary Institutions, aimed at aligning Nigeria’s education system with international standards and ensuring fairness to students in non-science disciplines.
