MAUTECH Yola Extends Transport Relief to Students: Affordable Bus Services Launched

In a bid to alleviate the transportation burden on students, the Students Union Government (SUG) of Modibbo Adama University (M.A.U), Yola, held a crucial meeting on the 19th of September, 2023.

The meeting involved the SUG President, the Welfare Director, and the University Transport Committee (UTC).

Following this significant gathering, the university administration has taken noteworthy steps to make commuting easier and more affordable for students:

Provision of University Buses: M.A.U Yola has made two university buses available to students. These buses are intended to reduce transportation costs for students traveling to and from Yola Town and Jimeta.

Designated Meeting Point: The meeting point for students utilizing the university buses is the Old School Motor Park located behind the security office on campus.

Bus Stops: Students traveling to Yola Town will find a bus stop approximately at Bamba, while those heading to Jimeta will have convenient stops at Modern Market Gate 1 and Mubi Roundabout. The buses will operate from 7 am in the morning till the evening.

Affordable Fare: The university has set reasonable fares for students. The cost of a bus ride from the school to Yola Town is set at N250, while the fare to Jimeta is N150.

This initiative is a significant step forward in addressing the transportation challenges faced by students at M.A.U Yola. It aims to provide a cost-effective and efficient means of commuting to and from campus, ultimately benefiting the entire student body.
