McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, has taken a significant stride in enhancing student welfare and academic infrastructure with the commissioning of three major projects on Friday, 12th December 2025.

The newly completed Female Hostel, the Second Phase of the University Cafeteria, and the Extension of the College of Allied Health Sciences were unveiled during a ceremony marking a pivotal moment in the University’s development trajectory.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Francis Igbasan, highlighted that these projects reflect strategic planning, financial discipline, and the dedication of the University community and its partners. He expressed gratitude to God and all contributors who facilitated their completion.

The Female Hostel, funded entirely from the University’s Internally Generated Revenue, provides a secure and modern living environment for students, demonstrating McPherson University’s commitment to world-class infrastructure. The Vice Chancellor also lauded the Parents’ Consultative Forum (PCF) for constructing and equipping the second phase of the University Cafeteria, emphasizing its role as both a dining space and a symbol of parental support and partnership.

The extension of the College of Allied Health Sciences now houses additional lecture theatres, state-of-the-art skills laboratories, and staff offices, enhancing the University’s capacity to train professionals in nursing, public health, and medical laboratory science.

The projects were commissioned by the Visitor to the University and General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria (FGCN), Rev. Dr. Sam Aboyeji, who attended with his wife, Rev. (Dr.) Mrs. Olabisi Aboyeji. The ceremony also featured key dignitaries, including Rev. Samson Alawode, National Secretary of FGCN; Engr. Kunle Allen, Chairman of the University Board of Trustees; and Rev. Tunde Lemo, Chairman of the Education Board.

The Acting Registrar, Mr. Olufemi Adebowale, concluded the event with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the University’s dedication to sustained growth and praying for continued guidance and prosperity for all stakeholders.
