Meet Professor Danshehu Bagudu Gwadangaji Newly Vice-Chancellor of Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero
Prof. Gwadangaji's professional career began at Sokoto Energy Research Centre (SERC), where he held various positions, including Director/CEO. He also served as the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KSUSTA, the Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at KSUSTA, and held roles at other notable institutions.
Professor Danshehu Bagudu Gwadangaji has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero (KSUSTA). A renowned figure in mechanical engineering with over 32 years of experience, Prof. Gwadangaji brings extensive academic and professional expertise to his new role.
Born in December 1963 in Gwadangaji, Kebbi State, Prof. Gwadangaji's educational journey began at Gwadangaji Town Primary School and continued at the State College of Arts and Science, Sokoto. He completed his OND and HND in Mechanical Engineering at Kaduna Polytechnic in 1983, earning accolades as the best graduating student. He furthered his studies at Bayero University Kano, where he obtained his B. Eng. and M. Eng. degrees, and was recognized as the best graduating student for the 1992/93 session. He completed his Ph.D. at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, in 1999.

Currently, Professor Gwadangaji faces several challenges at KSUSTA, including issues related to staff welfare, infrastructure, and academic standards. As he assumes the role of Vice-Chancellor, he is expected to address these challenges and advance the university's reputation and technological capabilities.
His appointment is seen as a positive step towards strengthening the university's academic framework and enhancing its impact in the region.
