Michael and Cecilia Ibru University gets Approval to Offer Nursing Science and Agricultural Science

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given approval to Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, MCIU, Agbarha-Otor, Ughelli, Delta State, to run Nursing  Science and Agricultural Science programmes at the undergraduate level, Myschoolnews report.

In a letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor and signed by the commission’s Acting Director of Academic Planning, Mr Abubakar M. Girei, the approval followed the resource verification exercise conducted by the Commission in October 2023.

He said during the exercise, experts assembled to assess the institution’s level of preparedness to commence the various programmes gave the university a clean bill.

The Commission has earlier given the institution approval to commence some postgraduate programmes during the 2023/2024 academic session. These include Postgraduate Diploma, Masters and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Industrial Chemistry.
