Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pledges Support for Brunon Holyst Institute for European Studies

The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its commitment to support the Brunon Holyst Institute for European Studies, located within the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK).

This pledge was made during a courtesy visit by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, to the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, on Monday, March 10, 2025.

The Vice-Chancellor acknowledged the Ministry's support in actualizing the university's internationalization agenda, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the Ministry and NSUK in developing the Institute. This partnership aims to strengthen diplomatic, political, economic, and social relationships between Africa and Europe.

Ambassador Tuggar assured the Vice-Chancellor of the Ministry's partnership and support in creating a world-class Institute of European Studies. The Ministry also expressed its willingness to equip Foreign Service Personnel with certificates and diplomas from the Institute.

 

The Brunon Holyst Institute for European Studies is the first of its kind in Africa, and this collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing Nigeria's relations with European countries.
