The University of Ibadan has confirmed that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund has approved loan applications for 3,283 students.

An internal memo issued on Wednesday by the university’s Registrar, G. O. Salisu, informed that while the loan approvals have been made, the funds have not yet been received. The memo directed department heads to allow these students to sit for the first-semester examinations despite the delay in fund disbursement.

The university’s administration emphasized that the list of approved students has been provided to the departments, and all Heads of Departments are expected to facilitate the examination process for the affected students. The memo highlighted the need for compliance by both staff and students.
