NOUN Jos Centre Hosts NUC Accreditation Team for Accounting and Banking Programs

The National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation team visited the Jos Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to conduct the accreditation exercise for the B.Sc. Accounting and B.Sc. Banking and Finance programs in the Faculty of Management Sciences.

The team, led by Prof. Babatunde Yusuf, explained that the purpose of the exercise was to evaluate the two programs to ensure compliance with NUC standards and promote continuous improvement. He highlighted that the exercise is crucial for maintaining the university’s credibility and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of its programs.

The NUC team reviewed documents provided by academic staff with support from the centre staff. Other members of the delegation included Prof. Walter Ndubuisi, Ibrahim Magaji Barde, Prof. Samuel S. Ogunbiyi, Prof. Sadeeq A. Abba, Dr. Julia O. Eichie, Mr. Bright Osemeke, and Mr. Daniel Oyetunji.

The Jos Study Centre Director, Mr. Bulama Samson Mshelia, along with Prof. Johnson Okoh and other faculty members, warmly welcomed the visiting team and guided them on a tour of the centre's facilities for assessment. The accreditation exercise was carried out smoothly without any issues.
