NOUN’s Awgu Study Centre Engages Government Establishments to Promote Open and Distance Learning

The Awgu Community Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) conducted a sensitization visit to several government establishments in Olikwu Awgu, Enugu State, to promote its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) program. Led by Acting Director Dr. Rosemary Ijeoma Nwofor, the team visited the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the local police station, the School of Midwifery, Urban Secondary School, and Orie Awgu market.

Dr. Nwofor highlighted NOUN’s flexible study options, allowing students to work while studying from any location. She encouraged members of the community, regardless of profession or age, to consider enrolling, emphasizing that NOUN provides opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds to achieve their academic goals.

The outreach generated interest among community members, with several inquiring about admission procedures and requirements.
