Professor Akinwale explained that the team’s visit was part of the accreditation exercise for the B.Sc. in Employment Relations and Human Resource Management. He noted that since the programme originated from the University of Lagos, the exercise provides a valuable opportunity for IAUE to learn from the experience of the pioneering institution.

He emphasized that the visit would focus on maintaining high standards, ensuring quality, and promoting sustainability in the programme, adding that the NUC’s goal is to support universities in strengthening their academic offerings nationwide.

In his remarks, Vice-Chancellor Professor Onuchuku described the accreditation process as an essential quality assurance mechanism aimed at ensuring that IAUE meets the minimum requirements to run the programme effectively. He clarified that the exercise was purely a peer review and not a fault-finding mission.

Professor Onuchuku commended the NUC for its consistency in maintaining academic standards across universities and assured the visiting team of the institution’s full cooperation. He also encouraged them to point out areas for improvement to help IAUE enhance its programme delivery.

The Registrar, Dr. Chinonye Abraham Ajie, expressed gratitude to the NUC team for their visit and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to providing the necessary support for a successful accreditation exercise
