Patience Jonathan Receives PhD in Psychology from Ignatius Ajuru University

Former First Lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan, has been conferred with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology, Guidance, and Counselling from the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.

The degree was awarded during the institution's 43rd Postgraduate Convocation Ceremony.

Mrs. Jonathan encouraged Nigerians, particularly women and young people, to prioritize education and lifelong learning. She emphasized that age should not be a barrier to pursuing academic goals and that education offers opportunities for personal growth and mental development.

The former First Lady dedicated her PhD to Nigerian women, expressing her commitment to supporting their welfare and development. She also pledged to promote social progress through education and dialogue.

Mrs. Jonathan attributed her success to divine grace and the support of her family, particularly her husband, former President Goodluck Jonathan, and their children.
