The State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of three students from the University of Calabar (UNICAL) by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.

The incident occurred on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Freedom Hostel, which is owned by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). The armed men stormed the hostel around 7:00 pm and abducted the students, whose identities have been identified as Ojang Precious Ebejin, Ugwu Chukwuemeka, and Damilola Dickson.
