Soludo Appoints UNIZIK’s Prof. Frank-Collins Okafor as Anambra State Chief of Protocol
The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has appointed Prof. Frank-Collins Nnamdi Okafor as the new State Chief of Protocol (SCOP), in a development viewed as a strong endorsement of the academic and leadership strength of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

Prof. Okafor, a Professor of International Relations and Strategic Studies in the Department of Political Science at UNIZIK, brings extensive academic and administrative experience to the role. Within the university, he has previously served as University Orator, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Head of Department, reflecting a long-standing engagement in institutional leadership and governance.
He is academically trained in International Relations and holds a doctoral qualification in Urban Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science under the BREAD/IGC programme. He also holds a Diploma in Peace and Security Management from KF & Triune Biblical University, USA.

His professional affiliations cut across several international and continental platforms, including Ambassador of Africa Agenda 2063, Peace Ambassador with the Institute for Economics and Peace (Sydney), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Legislative Fellow of TISSA, and Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.
Beyond the classroom, Prof. Okafor has been actively involved in public sector assignments. He previously chaired the Anambra State Government Committee on Recovery of Government Lands and served as Secretary of the 2025 State Solution Campaign Secretariat, further reinforcing his engagement at the intersection of governance, policy, and administration.
Widely published and internationally networked, he is regarded as part of a generation of scholars bridging academic research with practical governance outcomes. His appointment as SCOP is seen as both a personal milestone and a broader reflection of Nnamdi Azikiwe University’s growing influence in shaping public administration and policy leadership within and beyond Anambra State.
