Taraba State University Reminds Students of Oath to Abide by Rules

The Dean of Students at Taraba State University, Jalingo, Dr. Atando Dauda Agbu, has reminded students of the oath they took during their matriculation ceremony to abide by the university's rules and regulations.

The reminder comes amid challenges to the university's decisions regarding the regulation of student activities.

Dr. Agbu specifically urged the SUG President, Speaker of the Students' Representative Assembly (SRA), and other student leaders to reflect on their own oaths of office, which they took and signed during their inaugurations. He emphasized that privileges are not rights and that ignorance of the law is no defense.

The Dean encouraged student leaders to be guided by the rules and regulations of the university, noting that the university's Senate and Management have made decisions regarding student activities that should be respected.
