The University of Ibadan (UI) has received an additional N5 million for the establishment of the Florence Fakolujo Scholarship, aimed at providing financial support to deserving students in the Department of Psychology.

This scholarship initiative, funded by an anonymous benefactor passionate about education and social welfare, is designed to alleviate the financial burden on students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The scholarship will cover a comprehensive range of expenses, including tuition fees for a full session, stipends for books and academic supplies, and additional support for living expenses such as accommodation.
A statement from the University's Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Adejoke Akinpelu, highlights that the scholarship will be an annual offering, benefiting indigent students and enabling them to focus more on their studies and professional development within the field of Psychology. The donor, recognizing the vital role UI plays in nurturing future leaders and professionals, is eager to collaborate with the institution to make a meaningful impact.
