UNICROSS Releases First Semester Academic Calendar for 2025/2026 Session

The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has published the approved academic calendar for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.

The schedule outlines resumption, registration, lectures, assessments, and examinations, serving as a guide for both fresh and returning students.

First Semester Key Dates

• Week 1

  • September 29, 2025 – Arrival of new students, commencement of online fee payment and registration; Departmental board meetings to consider 2024/2025 second semester results
  • September 30, 2025 – Faculty board meetings for results consideration
  • October 1, 2025 – National Day holiday
  • October 2, 2025 – Senate meeting

• Week 2

  • October 6, 2025 – Returning students resume, registration continues
  • October 7, 2025 – Lectures begin for all students

• Weeks 3–6

  • October 13–31, 2025 – Lectures and registration across faculties
  • November 3–7, 2025 – Lectures continue
  • November 6, 2025 – Inaugural Lecture

• Week 8

  • November 10, 2025 – Lectures; late registration begins
  • November 10–14, 2025 – First continuous assessment for all students

  • November 21, 2025 – Lectures; close of late registration

• Week 10

  • November 24, 2025 – Departmental board meetings

  • November 27, 2025 – Senate meeting

  • January 12–16, 2026 – Examinations for final-year students; revision for others
  • January 19–23, 2026 – Examinations begin for other students

  • February 2–4, 2026 – Conclusion of examinations
  • February 4, 2026 – Inaugural Lecture
  • February 5–6, 2026 – Computer-Based Tests (CBT) for 100-Level students
