The University of Jos (Unijos) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have joined forces to tackle the challenges of migration and climate-induced displacement through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

On July 19, 2024, at a ceremony held at IOM's office in Abuja, the two institutions formalized their partnership, marking a milestone in the collaboration between academia and international organizations. The MoU outlines a comprehensive framework for joint research initiatives and policy development, focusing on the intersection of migration and climate change.
