In a proactive move to safeguard student data and enhance cybersecurity, the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has issued a stern advisory cautioning students against sharing their passwords under any circumstances.

The directive, signed by Prof. M.O.H. Amuda, Director of the Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe Centre for Information Technology and Systems (ABS-CITS), emphasizes that passwords are private and personal. It underscores that the university administration will never solicit passwords or request password resets via any means, including email or SMS.

Students are advised to ignore any such requests and immediately seek clarification from designated university officials if they receive suspicious communications.
