UNILAG Partners NATCOM-UNESCO On Virtual Training Initiative In Quantum Science And Technology
The University of Lagos (UNILAG), in collaboration with the Nigerian National Commission for UNESCO (NATCOM-UNESCO), is calling for applications from young African women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for a virtual training programme in Quantum Science and Technology — one of the most dynamic and fast-growing fields globally.
The University of Lagos (UNILAG), in collaboration with the Nigerian National Commission for UNESCO (NATCOM-UNESCO), is calling for applications from young African women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for a virtual training programme in Quantum Science and Technology — one of the most dynamic and fast-growing fields globally.
Organised in partnership with the University of Basel and Moth Quantum, the initiative is designed to equip participants with advanced skills while fostering Africa’s contribution to the global quantum technology landscape.

Eligibility
The programme is open to:
- PhD students.
- Postdoctoral fellows.
- Junior faculty within five years of completing their PhD.
- Early-career researchers (up to 35 years of age).
Applicants are expected to have a working knowledge of Linear Algebra and strong proficiency in English.
The training will offer participants an opportunity to learn from global experts, engage with peers across the continent, and position themselves for leadership in cutting-edge research and innovation.
