University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to commence the 2024/2025 academic session’s inaugural lecture series with a presentation by Professor Liasu Adebayo Ogunkanmi of the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics. The lecture, titled "Hunger Pains, Plant Blisses: Understanding the Secret Lives of Plants," will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. in the J. F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium, UNILAG, Akoka.

Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG, will preside over the event. This inaugural lecture invites both the university community and the public to explore the intricate biology of plants, examining the essential roles they play in the ecosystem and human survival.
