The Management of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has postponed her 190th inaugral lecture series due to security concerns.

As a result of the tension arising from the widespread national protest and the need for the safety of staff, students and visitors alike, the University Management in a precautionary measure, hereby informs the University Community that the 190th Inaugural Lecture Series has been postponed till further notice.

Te new date of the Lecture "The Tale of the Unseen Workforce in the Journey to Sustainable Environment", to be delivered by Professor Chioma Blaise Chikere will be communicated in due course.

The University Management regrets any inconveniences this may cause, while noting that the decision is in the best interest of all concerned.
