Professor Adebola Olufunlayo Jaiyeoba, a renowned Professor of Educational Management at the University of Ibadan, has called for consistent policy implementation in Nigeria's education sector. Speaking during her valedictory address on her retirement, Professor Jaiyeoba stressed the need to limit frequent policy changes with every new government, urging for continuity in educational policies to address the challenges facing the sector.

She highlighted that proper preparation and public enlightenment should accompany any new policy or reform to ensure smooth implementation. Professor Jaiyeoba also emphasized the importance of prioritizing education funding in line with UNESCO specifications and implementing measures to maintain an uninterrupted academic calendar.

In her address to her colleagues, she encouraged the Department of Educational Management to continue excelling in teaching, research, and community service to strengthen educational administration in Nigeria.

The event also featured a guest lecture by Professor Simeon Adebayo Oladipo, Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Lagos. His lecture, titled “Digital Transformation and Change Management in Nigerian Higher Education,” explored the opportunities for growth in higher education through digital solutions, with a focus on expanding access and enhancing research capabilities.
