University of Ilorin Conducts Successful Post-UTME Screening Exercise
The University of Ilorin recently conducted its Post-Utme screening exercise for admission seekers.
In a commendable display of commitment to academic integrity, the University of Ilorin recently concluded its 2023–2024 post-UTME screening exercise. A total of 16,920 out of 18,098 registered admission seekers participated in the computer-based test held on the university campus between February 19, 2024, and Friday, February 23, 2024.
The screening exercise, meticulously organized by the university, was conducted entirely through a computer-based system. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Abayomi Olubunmi Omotesho, lauded the candidates for their exemplary conduct throughout the process. Notably, there were no recorded incidents of examination malpractice or impersonation.
Recognizing the diverse circumstances faced by candidates, the university extended the screening period to accommodate those who were unavoidably unable to sit the test within the initially scheduled dates. The additional day, Friday, February 23, 2024, served as a mop-up session, ensuring that all eligible candidates had an opportunity to participate.

Addressing concerns about result dissemination, Professor Omotesho attributed the prompt daily release of results to the visionary leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN. The university remains committed to global best practices, and this commitment extends to timely communication with candidates.
Prospective students eagerly awaiting their admission status can rest assured. As soon as the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) opens the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), the University of Ilorin will promptly post relevant information. Candidates are encouraged to stay informed and check CAPS for updates.
The University of Ilorin continues to uphold its reputation for excellence, ensuring a fair and transparent admissions process for all aspiring scholars.
