University of Lagos (UNILAG) Invites Applications for 2024/2025 Postgraduate Programmes

The School of Postgraduate Studies at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) announces the commencement of applications for admission into various Postgraduate programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session. These programmes include Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Masters Degree (M.A., M.Sc., etc.), Professional Masters Degree, Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes.

Mode of Study:

Applicants have the flexibility to choose from Full Time, Part Time, Executive, and Open Distance Learning (ODL) options as applicable.

Guidelines for Application:

- Application Forms will be available from Monday, February 26th to Friday, August 30th, 2024.

- Completed Application Forms must be submitted ONLINE no later than Friday, September 13th, 2024.

- Interested applicants are required to visit the School of Postgraduate Studies University of Lagos Portal at [http://spgs.unilag.edu.ng](http://spgs.unilag.edu.ng) and click on the 2024/2025 Applications link.

- Candidates must confirm the availability and eligibility of their desired course.

- Payment of the non-refundable fee of N30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand Naira Only) for the Form, and charges can be made through Remita Payment or Online Payment via the portal.

- After payment, applicants should return to the School of Postgraduate Studies website, click on the 2024/2025 Application link, then the “Continue Application” link, and login with the 'Payment Reference Number' and provide the surname in lowercase as the password.

- Complete the Application form and upload a digital passport photograph (jpeg format) with specified dimensions and background.

- Candidates are advised to submit the form only after completing all sections, as editing after final submission attracts a charge of N1,000.

- Applicants should carefully read the requirements for their desired programmes to confirm eligibility.

- Candidates awaiting Bachelor’s degree results, undergoing Postgraduate programmes, or who have not completed the National Youth Service Corps assignments are not eligible.

- Holders of Degrees obtained from Outreach/Satellite campuses are also ineligible.

- Every applicant must upload all required credentials listed on the application form, including Degree Certificates (not Statement of Results), NYSC Certificate, and Professional Certificates.

- Academic Transcripts must be sent to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies before the beginning of the registration/screening exercise.

- M.Phil./Ph.D. candidates should contact the relevant Departments for the availability of Supervisors/vacancies before applying.

- Dates for ONLINE Qualifying Examinations and additional information will be regularly provided on the University of Lagos, School of Postgraduate Studies website.

- Entrance/Qualifying Examinations are scheduled for the week of September 23rd to September 28th, 2024.
