The Faculty of Social Sciences at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) extends a warm invitation to both the university community and the general public for the highly anticipated 12th Annual Zik Lecture Series, scheduled for November 16, 2023. The event will take place at the ASUU Secretariat of UNIZIK Awka, commencing at 10 am.
The Annual Zik Lecture Series, generously endowed by Distinguished Senator Dr. Ben Ndi Obi (CON), stands as a hallmark in Nigeria's intellectual calendar, consistently drawing eminent dignitaries and scholars from across the globe. Notable past attendees include H.E J.J. Rawlings of Ghana, H.E former President Benjamin Mkapa of Tanzania, H.E Dr. Bai Koroma, former President of Sierra Leone, H.E Raila Odinga, former Prime Minister of Kenya, H.E Atiku Abubakar (GCON), former Vice President of Nigeria, and Chief Emeka Anyaoku (GCON), alongside numerous senators, governors, and distinguished scholars like Okwudiba Nnoli, Asisi Asobie, Wole Soyinka, Ethan Mussolini of Uganda, and Dike Chukwumerije.
