In a remarkable journey of perseverance and academic achievement, Badiu Akinola Akinbode, hailing from a humble village, has secured not one but three master's degrees with distinction from renowned institutions across the world.

Akinbode's academic triumph was recently celebrated at the Gdańsk University of Technology, where he graduated with the highest honor, earning the equivalent of "Distinction" in the Nigerian academic system. His master's thesis, titled "Validation of the method for determination of melatonin in dietary supplements using HPLC-UV," showcased his expertise in analytical chemistry.

His educational journey began at the Polytechnic Ibadan, where he pursued a National Diploma in Food Science & Technology in 2012. Subsequently, he graduated with a Bachelor of Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, in 2017. It was at this institution that he embarked on his path of excellence by securing a Master of Technology degree with Distinction in Human Nutrition in 2021.

Akinbode's quest for knowledge led him overseas, where he continued his academic pursuits. He earned a Master of Science from the University of Barcelona in Spain in 2022 and, most recently, another Master of Science from Gdańsk University of Technology in Poland in 2023.

Akinbode's dedication to academia also extends to his research work. He has published 11 scholarly articles in reputable international journals, underscoring his commitment to advancing knowledge and contributing to his field.

However, his journey to success was far from easy. Akinbode candidly shared that it took him four attempts at the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to secure admission to the prestigious Federal University of Technology, Akure. Additionally, he faced 25 rejections in his quest for international scholarships. It was only through the European Union's fully-funded Erasmus Mundus Scholarship that he was able to fulfill his dream of studying in Europe.

Throughout his journey, Akinbode expressed profound gratitude to his family for their unwavering support. He acknowledges that without their support, his path would have been even more challenging.

Akinbode concluded by thanking his mentors, friends, and teachers who consistently believed in his abilities. He emphasized that he's taking a break from academia for now but remains open to exploring new horizons, all while cherishing the prayers of his loved ones.
