Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has revealed that 77 communities in the state currently lack public schools. Speaking during a meeting with heads of public schools, Soludo emphasized the urgent need for educational infrastructure and his administration's commitment to addressing this critical issue.

Soludo stated, “Securing our future is a collective effort. We must seize the opportunity now. It is the greatest investment we can make.” He highlighted that his government is actively working to provide options for the people of Anambra, ensuring that resources for continuous teacher training and education are prioritized.

The governor also addressed the challenges faced by his administration, noting the inherited arrears of pensions and gratuities, which he vowed to resolve promptly. “Anyone that retires under my watch will usually get their entitlements after successful documentation,” he assured.

Despite having approval to borrow 100 billion naira since taking office, Soludo stated that his administration has refrained from borrowing to avoid encumbering the future. He emphasized the importance of maintaining fiscal sustainability while building capacity for future growth.

Additionally, Governor Soludo highlighted his administration's achievements, including the recruitment of 8,115 teachers, over 1,000 doctors and health personnel, and the empowerment of 5,000 youths through various initiatives. He also mentioned the “one youth, two skills” entrepreneurship scheme, which aims to further enhance skills among Anambra’s youth.
