On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, Mr. Muhammed Lawal, the Lead Coordinator of the South West Agricultural Intervention Program, donated twelve 200-watt solar lights and panels to Lagos State University (LASU). The donation, which took place at the Vice-Chancellor's office, aims to support the university's ongoing development, particularly in improving campus lighting.

Mr. Lawal, an alumnus of LASU's Department of Geography Education, expressed his gratitude towards the institution, citing its significant role in shaping his career. He assured the university that further donations would follow soon and pledged to channel additional intervention resources from the Ministry of Agriculture to LASU's School of Agriculture, Epe Campus.

In response, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, the Vice-Chancellor, thanked Mr. Lawal for his generous contribution, noting that the solar lights would enhance the campus' nighttime illumination. The presentation was witnessed by key university officials, including Professor Adenike Boyo, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, and Mr. Emmanuel Fanu, the Registrar.
