ANUPA–AKSU Prioritizes Administrative Excellence and Professionalism at Year-End Event

The Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) Branch of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism, unity, and administrative excellence during its 2025 End-of-Year Get-Together held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Fresh Spring Hotels and Towers, Uyo.

The event served as a platform to reflect on the association's achievements and emphasize the critical role of professional administration in sustaining the university system's backbone.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. OtoAbasi Akpan, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Nkanikpo I. Ibok, commended the ANUPA–AKSU Branch for its maturity, unity, and ethical conduct, noting the positive impact on the university's administrative stability. He reiterated the management’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote staff development and capacity building.

Adding to this, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, Prof. Iniobong Umotong, underscored the indispensable role of administrators in sustaining academic excellence. He emphasized that efficient administration is the "backbone" of quality teaching, research, and degree awards, enabling academic staff to perform optimally.
