The Industrial Training and Coordinating Unit (ITCU) of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) has issued a set of directives for students preparing for the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) to ensure smooth participation in the programme.

The Industrial Training and Coordinating Unit (ITCU) of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) has issued a set of directives for students preparing for the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) to ensure smooth participation in the programme.

Key Guidelines:

  1. Payment of School Fees:
    All students must settle outstanding school fees, including ₦35,000 for the current academic session.

  2. IT Registration:
    Complete the Industrial Training (I.T.) Registration via the Students’ Portal to be eligible for SIWES.

  3. E-SIWES Registration:
    Register at e-siwes.atbu.edu.ng. Access is granted only after school fees payment and completion of I.T. registration. This portal allows students to:

    • Download I.T. Letters
    • Fill Biodata Forms for allowances
    • Identify supervisors
  4. Submission of Acceptance Letters:
    Students must submit Acceptance Letters from their SIWES placement organizations to the ITCU on or before 20th February 2026.

  5. Logbook Collection:
    Logbooks are available for ₦3,000 at the ITCU. Students must present a verified Remita Receipt of payment to access the Logbook.

Students are urged to comply fully with these guidelines to avoid delays or complications in their SIWES placement.
