Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has suspended academic activities indefinitely due to the ongoing nationwide #endbadgovernance protest. The announcement was made in a statement issued by the university’s spokesperson, Lamara Garba, on Monday.

The Vice-Chancellor commended the university community for maintaining peace on campus. The statement noted that, after a careful review of the situation in Kano State, the university management directed that all scheduled lectures be suspended immediately.

Mr. Garba added that academic and administrative activities would resume once normalcy returns. He urged students residing on campus to remain calm and law-abiding, assuring them of their safety. The management emphasized the importance of safety and advised the university community to be cautious about their movements outside the campus to avoid potential danger.
