In an enriching collaboration initiative, the Ag. Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, warmly hosted a delegation from the Rotary Club of Awka on Thursday, April 4th, 2024. Led by President Rtn. Chika Ibeneme, the seventeen-member delegation engaged in constructive discussions aimed at reinforcing ties between the university and Rotary.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Rtn. Prof. A. U. Nnonyelum, District Governor-Elect of Rotary International District 9142 Nigeria, lauded Prof. Omenugha's leadership and the university's support for Rotary initiatives. He highlighted the elevation of two members to professorial ranks as evidence of transparent leadership.

The primary agenda of the visit was to revitalize the Igbariam Rotary Gateway Club within COOU and foster deeper collaboration with Prof. Omenugha's administration. Acknowledging the support of the state Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, in her appointment, the delegation expressed confidence in Prof. Omenugha's capability to drive positive change.
