The Federal College of Education, Obudu, Cross River State, came alive on Tuesday, 2nd September 2025, as staff and students gathered at the College Micro Teaching Laboratory for the opening ceremony of a 5-Day Career Capacity Building Training/Workshop.

The event was designed to equip participants with essential professional and leadership skills needed to thrive in their respective fields.

The workshop featured sessions on Resume Writing, Leadership and Team Building, Enhancing Leadership Skills, Team Dynamics and Strategic Planning, Alumni Engagement Strategy, and Communication Outreach.

Declaring the training open, the Provost of the College, Dr. Richard Ugbaha Utubaku, expressed deep gratitude to TETFund for its continuous support in capacity development. He charged participants to take the programme seriously, noting that the knowledge acquired would serve as a vital tool in shaping their future careers and professional impact.

The facilitators, Dr. B.I. Ugbong and Dr. P.O. Ebam, led the sessions with expertise and interactive approaches that ensured active participation from attendees.

Running from Tuesday, 2nd September to Thursday, 4th September 2025, the training ended successfully with a closing ceremony held at the same venue. Speaking at the event, Comrade Pius Akpereka commended the Provost, Dr. Richard Ugbaha Utubaku, for entrusting him with the coordination of the programme. He also praised the facilitators for their excellent delivery and assured that future workshops would surpass expectations.

The highlight of the closing ceremony was the presentation of certificates to participants, marking a rewarding conclusion to the impactful 5-day training and reinforcing the College’s commitment to staff and student development.
