The Federal College of Education (FCE), Obudu, on Wednesday, 15th October 2025, conducted a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for prospective employees as part of its ongoing efforts to promote transparency and merit-based recruitment.

The Federal College of Education (FCE), Obudu, on Wednesday, 15th October 2025, conducted a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for prospective employees as part of its ongoing efforts to promote transparency and merit-based recruitment.

The exercise, held at the College’s E-Library, followed an earlier advertisement for various vacant positions published in national newspapers. After a rigorous screening and shortlisting process, successful applicants were invited to participate in the CBT stage of the recruitment exercise.

The test commenced promptly at 9:00 a.m. and was jointly coordinated by the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the Registry Department. The E-Library was fully equipped with modern computers, stable internet connectivity, and steady power supply, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

Candidates arrived early for verification and biometric accreditation before being ushered into the hall in batches. The process was orderly, with staff on ground to maintain decorum and provide necessary support.

Speaking during the exercise, the Registrar, Dr. Evans Ijenya Osakwe, commended the ICT Directorate for its effective coordination and reaffirmed the College’s dedication to fairness, accountability, and digital-driven administration. He noted that the adoption of CBT aligns with FCE Obudu’s commitment to innovation and merit-based employment.

The Director of ICT also expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the test, emphasizing that the computer-based method enhances objectivity, reduces human errors, and ensures equal opportunity for all participants.
