FCS Alumni Fellowship Celebrates 40th Anniversary with Reunion at FUTMinna
The FCS Alumni Fellowship marked its 40th anniversary with a reunion and courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of FUTMinna, highlighting its impact and ongoing support for the university community.
The Alumni Fellowship of the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS) at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, celebrated its 40th anniversary with a significant reunion event. The gathering included a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, held in the Senate Chamber of the Main Campus.
The event was led by the National President of the FCS Alumni Fellowship, Arc. Pastor Adekunle Samson Adeyemo. In his address, Pastor Adeyemo reflected on four decades of the fellowship’s achievements and its impact on both alumni and current students. He praised the university for its supportive environment, which has allowed many alumni to contribute positively to the institution, including through employment opportunities for FUTMinna graduates and career mentorship programs.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Uno Essang Uno, extended his gratitude to the alumni who traveled from across the country to celebrate this milestone. Prof. Uno highlighted the divine grace and community support that have contributed to the university’s progress. He also called for unity within the university community and encouraged support for the construction of a new church building. A combined service for all Christian members of the university is scheduled for September 16, 2024, at the construction site, aiming to further foster unity among students and staff.
The reunion underscored the strong partnership between FUTMinna and its alumni, focusing on enhancing both academic and spiritual development within the university community.
