The announcement was made by the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa, during the matriculation ceremony of the College of Nursing Sciences at the National Orthopedic Hospital Igbobi, Lagos (NOHIL), held at the hospital pavilion.

Dr. Alausa disclosed that the government has already taken significant strides in this endeavor by enrolling 60,000 student nurses. He attributed the success of the initiative to the commitment and vision of President [insert President's name] in ensuring that every Nigerian has access to quality healthcare services.
"The president deserves a lot of credit for making this happen. He made the commitment that every single Nigerian must be entitled to meaningful and comprehensive healthcare, and the way to start is to begin to expand and train more nurses that would deliver this care to our citizens," stated Dr. Alausa.
